Duke is a great horse to have around. He is a real character and is good to handle. He comes when you call - if he isntalready waiting at the gate for you! He really likes being around people and if you are out in his paddock he is always sticking his head over your shoulder to see what you are up to!
He is a fairly solid boy, with no conformation faults and no vices.
He needs a rider with some knowledge and wouldnt suit a complete beginner as although he is fairly laid back and cruisey, he can have his odd 'thoroughbred' moment. He is fine to ride in the arena or out on the roads/bridle paths. He can pop over small jumps but I have never really asked too much of him and he shows potentioal to go higher.
He would be great at pony club/adult riders or even just as a pleasure hack.
He is easy to float and just walks straight on by himself, and he is good to have his feet done. He is also a good doer and does well on lots of hay.
